National Supplement Brand Partners with the Jessie Rees Foundation for a Day of JoyJar stuffing
Youtheory, a Southern California based powerhouse supplement company, has partnered with the Jessie Rees Foundation, a global nonprofit that supports children fighting cancer, to host a Mobile JoyFactory event at Youtheory’s global headquarters in support of the battle against childhood cancer.
“At Youtheory, we believe our brand can be a powerful agent for positive change in the local and global community,” said Jamie Beauchamp, Vice President of Marketing at Youtheory. “Hosting this event with the Jessie Rees Foundation has offered us the opportunity to support an organization making remarkable strides in supporting children and families as they fight a very challenging disease.”
The Jessie Rees Foundation was founded by Jessica Joy Rees, a 12-year-old girl who courageously fought two brain tumors and never wavered from her motto: Never Ever Give Up. With the support of her family and friends, Jessie was able to stuff and ship 3,000 JoyJars while she was battling cancer herself. Her legacy lives on. Today, the Jessie Rees Foundation has distributed more than 250,000 JoyJars to kids fighting cancer across the U.S., in all 50 states, and in 41 countries. The foundation’s mission is to bring Jessie’s Wish to life, to encourage every kid fighting cancer to Never Ever Give Up.
Over 200 Youtheory employees gathered together for an all-day event to stuff nearly 600 of Jessie’s JoyJars to the brim with only the best toys and tons of love. Every employee was gifted with a NEGU wristband that states Jessie’s motto “Never Ever Give Up”. Before the stuffing commenced, the Youtheory team learned about the Jessie Rees Foundation’s history, inspiration, and purpose.
NEGU CEO and Jessie’s Daddy, Erik Rees shares, “We are honored and humbled to have the support of Youtheory. It takes a village when it comes to fulfilling our mission, which is why we are so grateful for partners as passionate about Jessie’s Wish as Youtheory.”

About the Jessie Rees Foundation
12-year-old Jessie Rees was diagnosed with an inoperable & incurable brain tumor (DIPG) in 2011 and fought hard for 10 months before earning her wings. During her courageous fight, Jessie had a mission — to bring joy to other kids who were fighting cancer and encourage them with her own personal motto, NEGU® (Never Ever Give Up).
With compassion in her heart and a mission in her mind, Jessie created JoyJars® (64-oz plastic jars filled with age-appropriate, hospital-approved toys) and delivered them to kids in treatment at CHOC - Children’s Hospital of Orange County. With the support of her family and friends, Jessie stuffed and shipped 3,000 of her fun-filled JoyJars while she was battling cancer herself. Soon after, Jessie’s JoyJars were being delivered to kids across the U.S.
Before Jessie earned her wings on January 5, 2012, she made a wish. She wanted every child fighting cancer to be encouraged to NEGU. Jessie’s Wish continues to be our focus at the Jessie Rees Foundation—to support every child and family affected by childhood cancer and encourage them to NEGU.
As of January 2019, The Jessie Rees Foundation has distributed more than 250,000 JoyJars to kids fighting cancer across the U.S., in all 50 states, and in 41 countries. JoyJars and other boosts of encouragement are offered at no cost to families who have a child fighting cancer. All resources are completely funded through private and corporate donations.
With the help of our generous donors, compassionate companies, and amazing volunteers, our goal is to fulfill Jessie’s Wish to encourage the 300,000 children and families impacted by childhood cancer each year around the world.
