EquityMatch 2.0 Relaunches Live Pitch Events, Connecting Founders and Investors Globally

EquityMatch successfully relaunched its global Live Pitch Events on January 13th, marking the official debut of EquityMatch 2.0 — a fully upgraded platform built around networking, media, fundraising, and education. Streamed across major social platforms.

This year, EquityMatch (EM) successfully relaunched its much-anticipated Live Pitch Events, bringing startup founders and investors back together on a global digital stage. Kicking off the series, the first live pitch event was streamed on January 13th, broadcast simultaneously across YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook, enabling real-time engagement from founders, investors, and ecosystem partners across Europe and the United States.

Setting the tone for the year’s first pitch event, Massimiliano Sulpizi, Founder and CEO of EquityMatch, moderated the session and opened with a compelling introduction. During his opening remarks, he announced the official launch of EquityMatch 2.0, an upgraded and fully live platform that follows a year of successful live testing and refinement, thereby marking a major milestone in EquityMatch’s evolution. Sulpizi stated, “With EquityMatch 2.0, we decided to build our new platform around four key pillars: networking, media, fundraising, and education.”

Expanding on this vision, he explained that EquityMatch enables founders to network, chat, send messages, and post - functioning as a dedicated social networking platform for startups and investors. He emphasised that the mission of EM 2.0 is to build an all-in-one global ecosystem to support startups at every stage of their journey, bringing together founders, mentors, advisors, and B2B service providers under a single platform to foster collaboration. Beyond networking, EM provides access to live pitch events, podcasts, and the opportunity to fundraise directly through the platform. Further strengthening its value proposition, EquityMatch is launching its Academy, with a live content library designed to educate founders on how to start, scale, and successfully exit their businesses.

The event was further strengthened by the presence of guest investor and panelist Thiago Vieira, who brings a rare blend of technical, legal, and investment expertise. Thiago began his career as a network technician in 2009 before transitioning into software development in 2011. In 2014, he founded a product-based company and successfully exited the business. He later moved into the legal field, specialising in cybercrime and digital law, and subsequently expanded into digital forensics, leading technical investigations in complex and high-stakes cases.

Since 2021, Thiago has been active as an angel investor and cybersecurity leader, building and leading acceleration programs to support emerging cybertech startups. Reflecting on his journey into angel investing, Thiago shared his motivation behind supporting founders, stating: “My career as a business angel investor started five years ago for a very simple reason: I made a commitment to give back to the community and the ecosystem - to help other founders to also build something meaningful to the world and sell this in the future.”

The event featured two founders, including Yehor Mokhortov, Founder of Wowster Live. This is a platform that connects highly skilled painters in sought-after niches with a global audience, enabling artists to host live shows where they showcase their work and engage audiences through live chat, custom requests, and patronage.

Explaining the problem the platform addresses, Yehor stated, “We are solving the problem of the lack of presentation for well-trained and talented painters who are currently underrepresented.” He further highlighted that buyers today are unable to watch, interact with, or place live orders with artists, facing limited discovery, engagement, and no real-time meeting or Q&A experience - nor a dedicated platform to buy from or subscribe to artists.

Targeting a global market valued at over USD 60 billion, Wowster Live aims to deliver far more than passive browsing. With a fundraising goal of EUR 200,000, the platform is on a mission to transform how art is discovered, experienced, and monetized - creating a more connected and rewarding ecosystem for both artists and collectors worldwide.

The second founder to pitch was Marc Kubbinga, Founder and CEO of Djaminn a unique Netherlands-based online music community designed to connect musicians, producers, and creators from around the world. Djaminn blends social media and music production into a single collaborative platform.

Introducing the platform, Marc shared, “I created a platform that combines social media and music production. We launched the product in July 2023, and today we have 1.5 million registered users and over 4 million downloads.”

Djaminn is seeking EUR 200,000 in a seed round to empower talented musicians and engage a growing global audience eager to discover, listen to, and watch emerging artists. By addressing the challenge many creators face in finding the right collaborators, Djaminn is redefining how music talent connects, collaborates, and grows in the digital age.

The event concluded with pitches from two well-established founders, who presented their startups to a global audience of investors.
